Avalanche education is a standing commitment here, not a disclaimer. In partnership with Soul Rides, we offer motorized-specific avalanche training taught in the terrain you actually ride.
AST stands for Avalanche Skills Training — the Canadian standard. Level 1 is two days and teaches you to recognise avalanche terrain, read the daily forecast, and run a companion rescue.
Motorized AST covers the same curriculum on a sled, because a sled changes how fast you enter terrain and how far you travel from help.

2 days
Online theory plus two field days on sleds. Terrain recognition, trip planning, transceiver search, and companion rescue under load.

Level 02
4 days
For riders already making their own calls. Snowpack assessment, route-finding in complex terrain, and group decision-making.
AST 1 required
Certified instruction, booked on their calendar. We supply the sleds, the gear and the terrain knowledge.
